A good product, more pros than cons.

The DSLR mostly rests on the shelf, carrying it with you all the time - my enthusiasm is unbearable. I needed an everyday camera that would always be with me. I chose between the ryksa from Sonya and zh7m2 from Canon. Zh5iks won in terms of ease of control, which is critical for me. Its pros: dimensions, ease of operation, appearance (classic). Japanese assembly, no backlash, no creaks. Decent chamber jeep. Cons: permanent shutter and focus sound when controlling the camera from a smartphone…

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

In general, the camera made a very good impression. Whatever it is, but the most important thing is that the quality of both photos and videos is at a high level. An analogue of a medium-level cropped DSLR with a weight and volume 3-4 times less. Has some pros We are talking about the next generation model - PowerShot G5X - Mark-2 wifi. I always wanted to bring high-quality photos from cycling trips. But for this, until recently, I had to drag a full-matrix DSLR with me. This camera, oddly…

    My 3rd Powershot G

This is my 3rd Canon Powershot from the G series I like the solid metal body. Automatic lens cap/shutter that protects the lens when the camera is off. The photo quality is very good. The video quality is acceptable. There's a viewfinder, which is nice. The larger body makes it easier to hold and stabilize. Some things that are almost negative: This G16 model does not have a foldable screen. The wide angle of this lens is 28mm, sometimes I need 24mm. I have a transition lens. It's a little big…

Perfect all round replacement for your DSLR

I recently took the G16 on a 2 week tour of Europe and it worked great even after dropping it twice!* (*not recommended) I am professional journalist to Canon's professional DSLRs, and this compact does the job well. Fast lens, fast shutter, full control and excellent shutter/aperture priority modes which I have used extensively. Explosive mode is crazy and comparable to big guns. Just unbelievable. High ISO's are good, grain could be better but looking at the pictures in the post they don't…

    16 countries, 4 continents.

I love this camera. I bought a Canon PowerShot G16 before I went on a year long trip around the world. I didn't want to lug around my Canon T3i DSLR, so instead I decided to use it as a lighter, more comfortable camera. Point and shoot, it does a lot of things your DSLR can do, it can record in RAW mode and it has full 1080p video recording capabilities. The video quality is absolutely amazing, it has built-in video stabilization and can record excellent quality video in shaky conditions and…

I find it best to use in cases where my DSLR is not.

The Canon G16 exceeds everything you expect from a quality compact camera. I bought the G16 as a replacement for the G9 and it ticks all the boxes for shooting indoors, outdoors, low light, on the go, portraits, snapshots etc. I find it to be used best in situations where my DSLR is not available, needed or out of place and when traveling. The viewfinder is useful when you're shooting in very bright places and when someone else is taking a picture of me. Autofocus is fast even at maximum zoom…

    That's a great camera!

I had three G Series Powershots, 30D and 70D; and the G16 is the best powershot. It has a very sharp lens; and its processor is so fast that sometimes I thought I hadn't taken a picture and it was on the memory card. And it still hasn't made me miss the 30D or 70D. The G16 handles children's shots just as well as the 70D, with comparable results. And it comes with a greatly improved AUTO mode. For many years I wanted a camera that spared me the aperture, aperture and technical rules that some…

    Solid Advanced Point and Shoot

I've owned the G-16 for 2.5 years now and I can confidently say it's the best P&S I've ever owned. This is my third Canon P&S, the most expensive and worth every penny. I originally bought this for a concert where the recordings were fantastic, but I've recorded it everywhere. I'm no pro, but I've had a bit of practice and a healthy dose of ambition. Some of the photos I took have been approved by several music fan sites. The G-16 is a solidly built camera that reminds me a bit of the old Leica

I like this camera: Point and Shoot Digital Cameras

I took some amazingly high quality photos and videos with this maximum resolution camera. The camera is heavy and large compared to typical soapboxes, but small enough to be used without the included neck strap so you don't look like a tourist. I like taking "stolen", natural photos of people on vacation, focusing carefully and getting the shot before they realize what I'm doing and tense up. This camera works brilliantly in low light - up to a point, of course. If you want to take romantic…

The right product for me, the price suited me.

My first device after $150 soap dishes and phone cameras. For the same money, it was already possible to take a DSLR / mirrorless camera, but I decided to abandon this idea (I was afraid that it would lie on the shelf and gather dust, because I would drag it with me). Long chose, in the end the choice was between this and the Sony RX100 M3 / M2. To this day, I'm not sure I made the right choice. But I decided to give preference to the touch screen and more controls and chose Canon. At the…

    Pros
    • Swivel touch screen. Bright, fast and clear EVF. High-aperture optics and a 1" matrix size allow you to get a much better picture than soap dishes and cameras in your phone. The size and weight allows you to take it with you more often (carry it in your jacket pocket, or put it in a small bag / backpack in a case).
    Cons
    • Battery life. External controls cling when you try to get / put the device in your pocket or a simple case (ala the same pocket). The cost is at the level of an entry-level DSLR / mirrorless camera (with whale optics).

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

Bought G5X to replace G12. First impressions are very good. From the pros: - less distortion at wide angle - less noise level - ISO 800 is quite working. - noticeably faster continuous shooting - bright electronic viewfinder - best video quality - double stabilization - WiFi with the possibility of remote control from a smartphone (with a picture on the screen and zoom!) - rotary zoom ring on the lens - large touch screen - Rechargeable with micro USB cable. Minuses: - due to the…

    Pros
    • Small size, viewfinder, swivel display
    Cons
    • Slightly overpriced

    Excellent product, the best quality.

Comment: I chose between canon and sony rx 100m3, according to aperture, zoom and the presence of a touch screen, canon won. does not pay attention to it, at the New Year's corporate party, in poor lighting conditions, excellent pictures were obtained, colleagues were surprised at what they saw, If someone thinks that the camera of a modern smartphone shoots no worse, then he is deeply mistaken, especially in low light, the smartphone is very much inferior.

    Pros
    • Pros: Fast lens, very sharp at all focal lengths, decent zoom for a compact, excellent touch screen, good stabilization, very good video quality, quite compact, very good photo quality, even in low light.
    Cons
    • Cons: Small battery capacity
