Another in a long line of successes

I bought the very first Digital Rebel (300D) and loved it. I have bought the Rebel T1i and T2i and love them. I buy a new DSLR every two years whether I need it or not. The Canon T4i is another great camera at a reasonable price that offers some of the features you would expect from cameras costing hundreds of dollars more. As far as I can tell, the image quality is one of the best and the new touchscreen makes using the camera easier than ever. If anyone is looking to buy their first DSLR, I…

Pros
  • ISO 100-12800 expandable to 25600
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other options

I bought this camera as my first DSLR and I really like it. I have owned several Canon Powershot cameras in the past and have always been a fan of Canon products. I also have a Canon HV20 camcorder. Although I'm not a professional photographer, I was able to take many great photos without too much effort. Learning the features of the camera is fairly easy, and Canon have designed an interface that makes it easy to switch between camera modes and settings. My friends are often impressed by the…

Great product for camera and photography

I started looking for a camcorder 4-5 weeks before Christmas and decided on a camcorder, as soon as I got it I decided the quality wasn't what I wanted. I have seen many DSLR produced videos on YouTube over the course of several months. Note. I trained in videography during college and although I no longer work in the field, I still value high quality video. So I decided to try a DSLR and from all my research I found that Canon makes some of the best DSLRs for video, especially the 5D III…

Pros

Buy Holy Cow now

Go flea market, apply for credit, donate plasma. If you have kids, don't waste your time with anything less. This is by far the best camera I've ever owned. I had lots of tips and shots, big zooms and camera phones (which I don't even count but should mention since I see so many parents use apples to document graduations?). My kids have been in sports for years, and I've been spending money on increasingly expensive cameras for 16 years. I finally decided to buy these since my kids are in high…

Great, but not difficult

I'm amazed at how much more this camera delivers than the inexpensive digital cameras I've had in the past, but for this still aspiring photographer, it delivers on its own. Yes, you can use your camera as a soapbox in automatic mode, but why spend all that money to use it as a fully automatic camera? Fun. . . and challenge. . . It's a game of aperture, shutter speed and ISO. But learning how to do it is both a challenge and a process and a pleasure and results. The camera gives you multiple…
