Review on Canon Rebel DSLR 18 55Mm MODEL by Tracey Horve

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product for camera and photography

I started looking for a camcorder 4-5 weeks before Christmas and decided on a camcorder, as soon as I got it I decided the quality wasn't what I wanted. I have seen many DSLR produced videos on YouTube over the course of several months. Note. I trained in videography during college and although I no longer work in the field, I still value high quality video. So I decided to try a DSLR and from all my research I found that Canon makes some of the best DSLRs for video, especially the 5D III. Since I couldn't afford the 5D, I opted for the T4i. What a great solution. This camera takes great videos and great photos. You'll love the video quality, and if you've ever shot professional videos, you'll love the manual controls. There are also a few companies these days that make accessories specifically for DSLR video that you'll love. You can find most of these on Revain. You will probably want to read some blogs and youtube videos on how to shoot with a DSLR as it is different from your regular consumer camcorder. Warning. If you expect the same features as consumer camcorders, this product is not for you. It has similar features like autofocus and image stabilization (stabilization is great), but the autofocus isn't nearly as good as consumer camcorders. You can hear the lens trying to focus all of the audio. Don't get me wrong, that's good, you just have to be aware of the extra noise in the background of the lens movement to focus properly. That's what I expected and I want more control over my cameras so this is a great camera for me. And for the price it can't be beat. Finally, get a good prime lens, such as a 50mm telephoto (I bought a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II camera lens). Great lens for the price. Again this is to be expected and is actually another reason to get a DSLR, the lens interchangeability is great and once again you can get whatever you need in Revain. All in all it was a great purchase and of course the Revain is great.
