A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

The lens is very good. When shooting, the focal plane must be strictly vertical, in this regard, with a "fisheye" is much easier! Also, blockages of the horizon are absolutely unacceptable. To fulfill these conditions, you have to raise the shooting point as high as possible - here you understand how convenient, although much more expensive, a shift lens is. In conclusion: the lens is very good!

Pros
  • Sharp, clear, natural colors, good! Pleasant in the hand.
Cons
  • Strict, do not relax when shooting, does not tolerate blockages. When you put a vertical frame, some horizontal compression appears, although straight lines are not distorted.

I love this lens. fits DSLR lenses

This ultra wide angle lens is a marvel of engineering and Canon has succeeded. The images are clear and bright. Buy it and you will have a lot of fun re-shooting old favorite places. Just think of the three words that will guide you when using a lens like this: low, close and geometric. That means you're often on your knees, getting closer to the foreground than you ever expected, and looking for images with lots of long, grid-like lines. It's great for slot canyons and narrow city streets…

A must-have lens for creative photographers from Canon

This is an excellent lens; An indispensable assistant for the creative photographer from Canon. When reading negative reviews, be aware that wide-angle lenses can be very difficult to use (especially for a beginner) and require a lot of patience and practice with framing and composition. The lens itself is small and compact, especially when compared to the relative bulk and weight of the 11-24mm f/4L lens - keep that in mind if you're torn between the two. Many people will argue that the…

One of Canon's best prime lenses

Excellent lens for ultra wide angle photography on full frame sensors. Bought for indoor photography and creative photography. I realized that sometimes my 17-40/4 is not enough for photographing interiors and architecture. That the 14/2.8 II lens is 3mm wider makes a huge difference, and the lens itself is an amazing piece of glass. Sharp and focused photos even at f/2.8 with virtually no distortion. Haven't seen much CA with this lens so far - a tiny bit of CA can easily be removed in post…

Landscape is a must

If you're shooting landscapes or architecture, this lens will surprise you. Of course you have to be careful as he is so vulnerable to the elements. The lens cap cannot be put on this bubble lens. This is an excellent lens for creating a professional image worthy of a calendar or book cover. It captures a huge chunk of the landscape and sky. The Canon 17-40 is a decent wide-angle zoom if you need zoom, but I have both and choose this lens at least 3 times out of 4. When hiking I often have a…

Stunning straight wide angle lens

This is a superb lens. A bit expensive. but nothing else compares to it. This is a "straight forward" wide angle lens. This means that the horizontal and vertical lines in the photo remain straight and not curved like with a "curvilinear" (aka "fisheye") lens. This is Canon's widest straight wide-angle lens (one of the widest on the market). You can use it to create stunning architectural or landscape photographs. If you want to see example images taken with this lens, there is a dedicated…

Unreal.real.: Lenses

Bought this lens 2 days ago. I photograph architecture and have been dealing with this for a long time. I have a large number of L lenses at the moment and usually use either the 24mm TS-E or the 17mm TS-E for tasks like the ones I photographed today. 24 is awesome. 17 less, but necessary in a pinch. I bought this lens for the wider coverage, reports of minimal barrel distortion, and autofocus. I thought this might be a good option for indoors where I can press the lens against the wall and get
