Always writes that he is not online!

What good is a WiFi printer if it says it's offline all the time? I send print jobs there and never know if they do or not. Sometimes they start typing after 5 minutes, sometimes they don't print at all. Very frustrating!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Frequency

Wifi can't always connect + color printing stopped

From a really good color wireless printer to an expensive black and white wireless printer in 1 year. Has stopped printing color after 1 year, even after several deep cleanings, realignments, ink flushes. Wi-Fi also never could stay connected permanently, so I got a cable to work with. Not recommended.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Quality

OK printer; Terrible driver

I've always had Canon printers and have always been very happy with them. I bought this printer as my dedicated photo printer and craft printer. Printing photos uses a lot of color ink, so I really liked the idea of a mega tank. BUT I can't get it to work for what I bought it for. Canon does not provide a printer driver for this printer. You must use the universal printer driver provided by Apple or Windows, depending on which operating system you have. I have a Mac and Apple's default printer…

DO NOT CONNECT THE USB CABLE UNTIL A TEST PAGE IS PRINTED!

Installation is NOT intuitive. I've spent too much time trying to figure out why the printer won't install properly. This was because I had plugged in the USB cable along with the power plug before attempting to install it. NOT CORRECT. If you READ the manual (who does these days) there is a line there that explains to only install the USB cable after the test page has printed. There should be a giant sign at the top of the printer so when you remove it you know for sure that the USB port…

Megatank is no joke.

Updated January 2021 - just over a year since purchase, almost 6,000 pages. The first of the two supplied bottles still had about 20% black. This leaves about 50% cyan, 60% magenta, and yellow. About 15 pages per day on average. A few minor paper jams to report. My only complaint about this printer is the lack of a backlight on the LCD. Update June 2020 - 3 months and almost 2000 pages later I still have 70% or more black plus another bottle that came with the printer. About 80% cyan and…

First class printer for printer parts and supplies

I have waited to write this review until I have had a chance to really experience this device for my money. I print a lot of graphics and needed a printer that wouldn't break me buying ink, but I also wanted a machine of the highest quality. All my friends have another brand of large tank printers and I decided to go the extra mile and try this brand as I've preferred Canon for vibrant photo prints in the past. Printing and cutting designs etc. If you use plain paper to copy it looks as…

First impression, installation.

Just spent a few hours reading, learning and setting up the G5020 printer. No printing except for a few test pages. Some buyers are negative about the installation instructions and I agree they could be better. The following might help. Download the PDF online manual, it will help you, it contains more information than what is stated. It should be on the installation disk (if so, I didn't find it). Also, do not use the installation CD as the installation is done using the files from the Canon…

Shame on you Canon! 5 Star Printing - 1 Star User Interface

I came across a printer, it is a windows wireless connection. Apple WiFi, Ethernet and USB connectivity is impeccable. Excellent machine until I try to connect wirelessly from Windows 10 Pro. Extremely high value for money. First Rating: The design, the quality and the reliability of the devices are excellent. The printer takes amazing pictures. For $209, this printer does what a $10,000 printer couldn't do ten years ago. BUT! The UI is straight from 1995. Tiny LED screen, needs a flashlight to
