Canplas 193066 Countersink 6 Inch White Review

I mowed the last cap we had and couldn't find a 6 inch cap at any hardware store. It was perfect for the lawn because it's flat and the mower drives right over it. Now it just needs to be painted green!

I bought this to replace the bearing cap that was sticking out too high for my drum mower. It worked perfectly. There is a tool to screw this in, but it was enough to just snap the pin in the middle and use the back of the flat bar to tighten.

Fits a standard 6 inch drain cleaning screw. It also has a seal to keep critters and roots out. This is a lower profile than square top plugs. (and will probably shut down one day) take a 2x4 and drill a hole in the longitudinal axle. Lawnmowers, I agree.

Fits standard 6" Schedule 40 pipe. I just used reverse pliers to get the handles to dig in. Turning was easy, tightening a little less. I could easily use some channel locks as leverage, to twist the pliers to tighten. I don't want to stretch it out too much because I have to put some root killer in it every year. No more running a lawnmower over it. And it looks a lot better than a big white square, that sticking out of the grass.

Non 6" hardware I don't know about the ones they shipped a year ago but as of July 2020 they are for outdoor cleaning adapters ONLY. Does not standard fit 40 PVC 6 inch pipe. Just look at the dimensions currently listed in the specs. Don't worry if you need it for that. Will have to return.
