Capezio Womens Pedini Femme Lyrical Review

My daughter is entering a dance competition. Her teacher wanted three jazz shoes for one of her dances. She has never worn this style before so it took her a minute to get used to it but now she loves it!

Shoes look better on the foot than on the foot, but maybe it was just my foot. The heel feels too tight and there is no support at all in this shoe. There seemed to be danger of rolling out or in, so I sent them back.

I bought them because I don't like dancing in heels. In general, they dance well, but the heel hurts a little. There's no real arch support, so the heel edge where the elastic begins kinda digs in. I wouldn't use them if you dance for hours.

These pedinis are as expected except for one boot which came out of the box very crumpled at the toe. I don't know why only one is so wrinkled. It looked like it had been used but the floor was not worn or dirty. Generally they will perform well on stage but for such an expensive dance shoe this was a bit of a disappointment. They are also very small/tight, although after some use they loosen up a bit.

I've worn Capezio dance shoes since I could walk, but we've always bought them direct from the store in New York. This is my first online purchase from Capezio. Describing the shoe size based on your "street shoe size" is not accurate. My street shoe size is between 6.5 and 7.5. Had to come back and order 3 times! My last order was for size 9! BUYER WARNING - Order one size up first.

I am writing this review based on my initial information on these shoes only. Like an idiot I read the reviews and made my sizing decision based on a couple of reviewers who said I had to size up. Um, not in my case. As with most dance shoes, finding the right size can be difficult. I usually read reviews from other dancers and figure out what I need to do to make the shoes fit the best.
