Perfect for 4 live feeds then failed on the 5th

This capture card worked great the first 4 times I used it. I used it with my Panasonic GH5 as a webcam for my Zoom presentations. Using my GH5's output as a webcam has greatly improved the quality of my broadcast. Worked great when I changed the settings in Zoom to 1) 16x9 (widescreen); and 2) Enable HD. There was actually another problem, which was that the video was out of sync with the audio. I fixed this by using my GH5's pistol mic as the audio source (which automatically goes to the same

It worked once, it worked well.

I bought an HDMI capture device for my camera to stream. In testing, it didn't work well with Camtasia, but worked well with OBS and Skype. I did a 2 hour stream using my camera, device and OBS on a MacBook. The stream was fine, but the device got very hot. A week later I try to stream again and all I get from the device is audio, no video. I'm testing it by connecting to two other PCs and trying to stream video from my laptop instead of my camera, still only audio. So he returns to Revane.

Pros
  • USB3.0 video capture

  • This makes me angry

Works great overall, a bit finicky at times

I use this for work to capture computer screens on a command line basis and it works very well, especially for the price. It also works well with Linux (using Ubuntu 18.04 on the laptop it is connected to, no additional software is required to register Ubuntu as a camera device). My only complaints are: 1. There are occasional transmission glitches (usually after my laptop and other systems have been powered off or idle for a while) requiring the device to be fully disconnected (USB and HDMI in

Strange setting on laptop conflicts with video capture/

I bought my first one and just couldn't get it to work on my main laptop. All I got was either a blank window or a message that no camera was connected. But it worked fine on the duplicate laptop and even the older one. Everything we tried didn't work. The seller sent a replacement and had the same problem. It turned out to be a resolution issue with my webcam on my laptop. Some apps ask permission to access my camera and I always say no. But as soon as I changed my settings to allow…

Pros
  • Up to 1080P, HDMI loop
Cons
  • Volume
