It's good, but too harsh at high volume.

Sounds good, especially when paired with the right crossovers, mids and lows. It's very hard when turned on loud until it hurts which is a bit annoying. I have a crossover and a resistor. I covered the chrome with plastic to make it less noticeable and to look good in photos.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Concise manual

Clean, crisp cymbals, whistles, strings. anything. MAKE Latin Music Shine

I bought a third pair. I ordered two sets for my father. One set for his outdoor speakers (2 years ago) and one for his old Pioneer stereo inside. WOW, Latin music really sounds good with those brass and strings. The third set fits my old Technics 3-way speakers. We are Dominicans so I say merengue, merengue, salsa, did I say merengue?!

That's 2.375 " and not 3.125 "!

These speakers appear to be of good quality but the description is completely wrong. It says 3.125" diameter which is 3 1/8" which would suit my application. They are not, they are 2 3/8 inches in diameter. The photo on the left shows a burned out tweeter which I am replacing, on the right is a bunch. The second close-up picture shows 2 3/8" holes. apart, not 3 1/8. That's why I'm sending them back as they don't fit. This is the SECOND time Amazon

Work in progress - speakers

Huge improvement over Fisher's 43 year old phenolic tweeter (CTS?). A bit hard at full throttle. But just before that it's loud. and sure. there I go; Goodbye. I need four, gotta try one. Doesn't quite fit, so I'll try something else. This is saved for something in the future. Also received a PPA15 and two PDMR5s (one was damaged, the original was left to be sealed) to complete a cabinet. In addition, the Eminence in another 15 rooms for comparison.

Sounds great though. at Autoelectronics

So yes this tweeter was bought for a stereo bridge amplifier for a mono speaker. This speaker worked well with the subwoofer and mids. I would say my setup sounds great. Unfortunately, the soldering lugs on the tweeter itself protrude beyond the diameter of the round part of the body. This will result in your perfectly cut hole being too small for the speaker enclosure as the dumb bosses need extra cut out to go through the speaker hole and then the holes went over the edge of the speaker when…

Difficult to install but sounds good

This tweeter can be a bit shrill, but a good EQ can take the edge off. The rest of the sound is pretty good. The price is reasonable for the sound quality you get. I used a good quality crossover in my setup so it might improve the sound. It's not easy to install, so I'd give it an overall rating of 3. The terminals for the speaker cables protrude, which affects the installation. Combined with a very large magnet (which is good) it's difficult to install, cut a hole for it etc. Basically you…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are downsides

How cheap these speakers are, I'd say they're pretty good. Very solid construction and surprisingly heavy for its size. However, when I installed them I noticed that they seem to make a faint hiss, although I'm pretty sure all my wires are properly grounded and that my power wires are routed through the center of the car and my RCAs are on the side . That. I don't know why that is, but if you're new to audio I'd strongly recommend avoiding them and maybe going for a 2-4 inch speaker as it has a

Who has the most economical tweeter? Pyle does!

I've had these Pyle Super-Tweeters for a long time and I can say I can't live without them. I can still hear over 2000Hz and even YouTube music sounds better with tweeters. My receiver is rated 2 x 100 RMS so I definitely needed tweeters that I couldn't blow out. I just attach them to the back of the speaker with four double ended wires with alligator clips. No fuss, no fuss. Thankfully, despite amplifying loud a lot, I still have 2000-20000 hearing ranges (don't know how high), and my Pioneer…
