Even though the description said it would work on a 2008 Corolla, it didn't work. I was able to cut the key and program the transponder, but the door remote is not compatible. I am very disappointed that the seller is making false claims. Not only did I spend money on a key, I also had to pay a locksmith to cut etc.

I have a 2009 Toyota Avalon so the remote MUST be programmed by a locksmith through the OBDII port. Luckily I work at a car rental company and have hired a guy to cut and program our keys. Made for free. You can program the button function for locking and unlocking the doors yourself, but in my car year it still had to be programmed onto the chip on the computer.

Seems to work, but not quite. Leanently would do it again, but you might be better off buying a key from your dealer and asking them not to program it unless you want to pay $$ (a few bugs that could be user error).
