Premium Quality Caran D'ache Set of 20 Pastel Pencils - Unleash Your Creativity! Review

It's on sale now and I'm buying art supplies like crazy. Also buying things for my new house. I see them and already love the little Luminance set I have. I mean pastel colors. Not real pastels. And boy did I have a red face when I got this. I have no idea how to use them. But I'm a determined bird. I go to my art groups and watch YouTube videos and I'm good at it! So I pull out a few pages from several coloring books. I'm not very good at it yet, but I've included a picture of one of the pages

Pros – LARGE color range. One of the best limited edition sets I've ever seen on any medium. Excellent box. Lots of pigment. Disadvantages - quite prickly and hard. It is almost impossible to layer other pastel colors. They were very smooth and comfortable to use. Maybe it was paper. In any case, the scratching is still somewhat variable, but not as bad as in my first test. Worth buying when on sale but other than that I prefer my Stabilo Carbothellos as they apply better in layers so I usually

I bought this on a lightning sale so I am not otherwise sponsoring this review/opinion. This is my first set of pastels so I don't know how they compare to others. But I usually use Rembrandt soft pastels so I can compare them. The colors are rich and my set of 20 has a lot of variety. There are light and more natural primary colors.
