06 Honda Rancher 350, runs great

Installed this carb on my 2006 Rancher 350 es. After warming up, it works great while looking like a good product. The only complaint is that the carburetor heater wire is not connected to the bearing, but I knew from pre-purchase reviews that they all are. Eventually I will cut and glue it but so far so good at 0-30F.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Could have picked a newer model

Good fit but problems

Carburetor fits perfectly and works well. I watched an installation video online which really helped as there are no instructions. I had two problems. First, the heater wiring harness connection did not match what was on my car. I simply used an existing heater. Second, the fuel filter hose connections were too small. The fuel hose is 3/8" in diameter and the included filter is 1/4" in diameter.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Doubtful

I was scared and wanted to send it back.

Honda 350 Rancher ES carburetor replacement arrived on time. Well packed. Then I saw that it was not as described in the ad. There was not even a connection for the air shut-off valve! Curiosity got the best of me and I fitted it in and adjusted it to my height. Filled, choked and fired instantly. Test it today with four miles of climbs, soft sand washes and steep descents. Never tripped and died! For a temporary carb, until I get the original "YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!" Update: 20 hard…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not as fat as other options

Not even worth a day

Thing isn't made right. I can understand that the glow plug is wrong, but the thing worked for 10 minutes, does not splash and does not ignite. I tried to adjust to no avail, I had to go to dinner, put him in the parking lot and find out an hour later that he had emptied the gas tank down to the ground through the drain hose. The drain is closed, which means the needle and seat are out of order and the carburetor is overflowing. The problem is that now it refuses to start at all. Garbage…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • No instructions

Works fine but needs changing

As seen in the picture the heating cable was completely wrong. In a drain plug connection, the wire on this device was a female connection. I had to reuse the wire from the old carburetor. Also, the end of the choke wire was too thin to fit through the end of the wire so I had to use parts from an old carb along with parts from a new one to get it working. The original had two air intakes vented through a hose attached to the chassis, this one has just two hoses cut with twists on the sides for

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Decent product but critical design flaw

A 2003 Rancher TRX350, all of these carburetors have a serious design flaw. They don't have a little plastic stop to keep the float from sinking too deep and getting stuck. The OEM carburetor has this limiter when you buy this carburetor. Keep your OEM carburetor. Remove the float chamber and the small round stop attached to the base of the floats. This slides into the new carburetor after dismantling. If you don't, the float will open, flooding the engine and allowing fuel to flow out of the…

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
