Description of Cardone Select 13 2714 Master Cylinder

Only O.E.-quality seals and cups are used to ensure O.E. performance and reliability. All rubber components meet S.A.E. specifications. Bores meet critical micro-finish specifications to eliminate pitting and corrosion, a cause of premature failure. Castings feature a premium protective coating to minimize corrosion and extend unit life. Seals are temperature-cycled from -30°F to +220°F to ensure reliable performance during your daily commute and plastic reservoirs are vacuum-tested to ensure they are leak free. Mounting hardware and bleeding kits are supplied with every unit to make the installation and bleeding process faster and easier (where applicable). Fit type: Vehicle Specific.

LESS THAN 3 MONTHS IN COLD WEATHER!

At the end of September it stalled and failed on a -20 degree day. Parked the car and used another Buick until warm to troubleshoot. I wrote to Cardone support and they referred me back to Revain which does not come with a guarantee unless you pay more for the guarantee. I will no longer buy Cardone products as the rubber plunger is of poor quality. I can't buy any other Revain products until the problem is fixed! $40.53 wasted + labor!

Not for Chevy Impala base 2003. 3.4L without ABS

Completely Wrong Master Cylinder for Chevy Impala Base 3.4L 4-Door Sedan Non-ABS. And then, in general, when trying to return it, I had to repackage it and try to send it again because of oil leakage and the carrier would not accept it!

Pros
  • Only original gaskets and lip seals are used to ensure performance and reliability. All Rubber Parts Meet SAE Specifications
Cons
  • Almost OK

Look at the picture! Tank design may not be suitable for your application

View the picture. In the LeSabre app, the reservoir lid is under the cover, making it inaccessible. The OEM bin has a lid that faces the front of the vehicle. Swing and miss, boys. I should have noticed, looked elsewhere and saved some extra money. Luckily the old tank was usable. I had to knock out a few pins and pull out the rubber bushings.

Pros
  • Mounting hardware and primer kits are supplied with each unit to speed and simplify installation and priming (where applicable)
Cons
  • High price
