Description of πŸš— Enhance Vehicle Performance with Cardone Select 66 1009 Drive Axle

Proprietary engineering processes ensure that all CV Drive Axles meet OE form, fit and function. Neoprene boots are designed with additional bellows, when needed, to resist bellow stress and cracking, which is the leading cause of boot failure. An axle retaining nut is supplied with every unit for a hassle-free installation, due to the likelihood that the original retaining nut is worn or stripped. CV Drive Axle measurements are validated after assembly to ensure a proper fit; Threads are precision rolled to ensure proper fit when axle nut is installed. Boot clamps are pneumatically crimped, creating a perfect seal between the boot and housing.

Took 6 months. on spare parts

Greases were removed when I received the axles. I thought it happened during shipping, no need to worry Cardon should be good right? After 6 months and less than 5000 miles both axles are removed. Lots of waves and my truck shakes like never before. A good deal is not always a good deal. Pay the extra $30 and buy locally to avoid the hassle of a warranty replacement.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • So-so

Useless boots defective after 6 months

rubbish here we are only 6 months later and not 1 but 2 boots are torn and spewing grease into my wheels and wheel arches. Originals from 2006 with 188,000 miles and 13 years had intact dust bags when removed. The boots they wear are of unacceptably low quality. Luckily I'm still using the original axles so I'll remount them and put them where they should be; in the trash!

  • Everything is fine!

Worked fine for a few months

In winter 2019 I installed this axle on the driver's side. I've ridden the axle about 4000 miles since then. Maybe 20 miles total with 4x4 in automatic mode. Last weekend I noticed vibrations and clicking noises at low speeds, especially when cornering. I checked my front components and noticed that the U-Hinge has about 1/4 inch of up and down movement. I understand this is a cheap part but these axles are worth the weight of scrap metal. Very disappointed with my purchase.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Surprisingly high quality for the price.

Suitable. Many local stores have "new designs" but not original designs. It worked great. I checked the density, they feel stiffer than stock. Not much, but enough to throw the needle. As long as there are no noticeable flaws, this is a good detail. I believe that with a density test you don't have to worry about porosity of the parts or cold closing. It is finished in good quality with no start and stop lines. Delivery arrived earlier than expected.

Broke after just a week of use!

Scared me to death! It has been less than 350 miles since my husband (who has worked with cars most of his life) replaced the CV drive axle on our Suburban. I always drive it with my kids. We were driving home on the main road at 70 mph when it exploded making a loud clunk, squeak and rattle. Luckily my husband drove, otherwise I would have been on the road! Luckily we were close to the ramp and my husband could tell that one of the boots had snapped off and grease was splattering all over the…

Spring. the first quickly developed a bump.

So I have a Suburban LTZ 07 that needed a new CV drive axle on the driver's side. Well, as for the installation, if you're mechanically inclined and can do it yourself, then it's quite easy. Now you REALLY need to remove the stabilizer arm to make your life easier. So I installed this about 2 weeks ago and less than 100 miles. Fast forward a few days to when I installed new brakes and discs. I turned the hub back and forth and noticed a bulge. I twisted forward a bit and it seemed to go away…
