Description of Cardone 66-1325HD CV Severe-Duty Drive Axle Shaft for Enhanced Constant Velocity Performance

Proprietary engineering processes ensure that all CV Drive Axles meet OE form, fit and function. CV Drive Axle part numbers with an “HD” suffix are severe-duty applications and include a thermoplastic outboard boot for increased life and durability versus a traditional neoprene boot. An axle retaining nut is supplied with every unit for a hassle-free installation, due to the likelihood that the original retaining nut is worn or stripped. CV Drive Axle measurements are validated after assembly to ensure a proper fit; Threads are precision rolled to ensure proper fit when axle nut is installed. Boot clamps are pneumatically crimped, creating a perfect seal between the boot and housing.

Perfect replacement

Perfect replacement for OEM part. Perfect fit for my 2003 Chevy Suburban 2500. No problems, no surprises. Very important!

Bad boot setup! 🤷🏻‍♂️

The outer shoe was fitted incorrectly, I had to buy a new collar, disassemble and reassemble the shoe to keep it from chafing and tearing after a few months!

Save your money on spare parts

Item has been damaged so obviously not taking the time to inspect it before shipping let alone falling apart in a day. Don't waste your money, it's reclaimed junk.

slightly different but still works

It's not exactly the same part, slightly different on the CV axle flange but still lasts as long as the weight, easy to install. I highly recommend removing the tie rod. I'm about 2 hours old and I'm no expert

Junk on a 2005 Hummer H2

Junk, junk, junk. Replaces the OEM with this part at 130,000 miles due to a slight rattle. This part rattles 30 times worse than the original in three weeks. Now I have to order OEM parts and do it again. After a few weeks, grease will flow from both sides of the boot.

Axle shaft assembly aging

Now I've bought 4 of these. the next one should be here tomorrow. 2 of them have only arrived brutally demolished on my doorstep. one that has not yet broken in transit. It seems really nice and that's why I keep trying to get the 2nd good one. Annoying, I have to keep going to the UPS to ship these broken ones.

Simple easy installation. Great part. Don't know why others have negative reviews

I don't quite see what's wrong with these other people's negative reviews. As long as you know what you're doing and get the CV axis right, you shouldn't hear any rattling. Installation took about 1.5 hours, and if you have all the necessary tools and sockets, it's not difficult.

Skip them for the 2007 GMC Sierra!

I was late to return BUT while driving the axle boot came off and the grease spattered everywhere. When inspecting, some companies use LOW PROFILE shoe clamps. Cardons are pinched, stick out and have no zero profile. He grabbed my forearm and opened the trunk. Such pain! I chose another brand and spent 3 hours of my time fixing everything.
