The strap is black but the black strap used white yarn and had a lot of extra thread. Looks crappy so I used a black sharpie marker to clean it up.

I know it's just a belt BUT it's the best value for money. The loop of the original strap (18 years old) broke while on vacation, so I bought the strap on the secondary market. I had to use a ladder to hook the pole into the loop every time I wanted to pull out the awning. The Carefree harness has an elastic loop that keeps it open. Think smart! I was so angry I took the aftermarket strap off and burned it!

For a good OEM style traction band, you need these. Before finally finding them, I spent quite a bit of money (and time) ordering several other lower quality brands, none of which fit properly in the canal without functioning to the point where they were causing wear and tissue damage , and because of that, they were all practically useless. I wish they came in different lengths, I'd rather have a few inches longer.

I read reviews about the plastic tube that fits in the slot because it's too big. They were exactly the same as our original. He slid right in.
