My wife has bought countless plastic shovels over the years that keep breaking or breaking. I went online to see if I could find a shovel that actually works and doesn't break. I saw this one and it reminded me of the dust pan we used in the wood shop at school when I was a kid! It has arrived and I am very happy to report that this will probably be the last bauble I will ever have to buy! It's so good and durable! Thank you!

Good shovel. The one-piece steel construction is strong enough to work in a workshop. No welds to break or rivets to loosen the handles. No brittle aluminum that bends at a glance, no hard plastic that breaks if dropped once. Easily worth $6 and some loose change. Will last me a lifetime Guys, if it doesn't say "MADE IN USA," then it really isn't. Heavier than the plastic ones, but I prefer them because I don't get as frustrated trying to get all the dirt off the floor. I love that it's made in the USA and written right on the pan!

I use this scoop every day. What I did was use a propion torch to heat just under the handle to bend the handle straight up so I could put a wooden broom handle to make the handle longer. I don't have to bend down to hold the dustpan, I just place the dustpan on the floor and sweep up dirt, dust, paper, and anything I don't want to pick up with my hands. USA is written on it, the metal is thick, it took some time to bend to heat the metal. I can see this dust collector will last me a lifetime.

This is definitely a sturdy shovel that won't break. Also, I'm NOT happy. Does not pick up small dirt, the edge is too thick and does not touch the ground well.
