Before you apply this product to the top cover of my bamboo board, you might feel small bits of bamboo when you run your hand over the board. Once this wax was applied, this problem disappeared. The wax gave the board a slight sheen and made it even more beautiful!

I bought the product to use on a new chopping board that I ordered and when it arrived the tin was on two opposite sides Sides curved, making it almost impossible to open the lid. When I tried applying it to a new cutting board, it didn't penetrate the wood, just rubbed the top. Waste of money, don't need and don't use!

It leaves a great finish on all my boards. After oiling the boards about once a month I apply it the next day or even 8 hours later. It seals in oil and has a light lemon scent that dissipates quickly. When I'm ready to use the board, I wipe down the surface with a soft cloth. This not only removes excess wax completely, but also any dust that may have accumulated.

Use this on an old meat block dining table that has been repurposed into 4 computer niches and then back into my kitchen island countertop. We stripped it down to bare wood and saw how dry it was. We applied several coats of wax and it continues to soak in. But little by little it gets to the point where the water is just dripping. Very satisfied with the product.

I have used a small amount of the product by rubbing it on a wooden table which I have polished with a cloth and it works great. Some people don't realize that commercial wood sprays are bad for the tree. I didn't know how dry my wooden utensils were until I started using this wax. Caron & Doucet Coconut Wax for Cutting Boards is one of my cutting board care products. I have always used mineral oil for cutting boards but wanted to switch to coconut oil.
