Manufactured differently from the original belt. Gear teeth on one side are flat on the other. The original only has teeth where the engine turns. The performance is much louder than the original belt. Works great good price.

It's been four weeks since I installed this and it works perfectly. Although this belt is slightly different from the OEM belt, the included pulley makes for easy installation.

This is NOT a genuine HP belt. The original belt has side ribs along half the belt and long grooves running parallel along the other half. These tabs and grooves fit into the printer rollers. The belt they sell here only has ribs all over the belt. The belt does NOT have grooves like the belt that came with your printer that you are trying to replace with this aftermarket copy. Working Perfectly, Lasts Long. It doesn't have the smooth and cogged belt that the OEM has. However, it still works fine. I don't expect it to last 5 years but given the price and age of the plotter if I survive 2 years the plotter will still be useless by then. The original strap broke and needed replacing. It's not exactly the same as the included belt, but it's a replacement belt and you just use the included pulley. The difference between this belt and our machine's original belt is only that the design of the grooves on the belt and the pulley are different to compensate for the difference in the grooves.
