I purchased this product to replace the 12V plug on a Wagan Pure Sine Wave inverter harness for a 150W inverter. These wires are likely to be 14-16 AWG to handle the 12-13 amps, or they will pull out of the 12V DC plug if the inverter is running at 150W rating. This replacement plug is almost identical to the one it replaces and this pair comes with 20A fuses. First I would like to say that this works and it seems to work quite well. I use mine on the end of a 12v air compressor after my newest (different brand) melted after using it. The wiring used is 16 gauge wire. I stuck the new end into an air compressor, ran it for 5-10 minutes, and in all that time the connector never got more than a little hot.
