Bad design, otherwise well made.

I've had it for a few months now and am disappointed. The landing is too far forward and it feels like they're going to throw me in the fire. I had to cut 1 1/2 inches off the back legs to make it more comfortable. The biggest problem concerns the alignment of the crossbar. On most chairs, this bar moves from side to side, allowing the chair to swing forward. The design of this chair allows the person to sway from side to side which is not much fun.

It's GREAT: Camping furniture

Super compact and portable, we love these chairs! My son-in-law had a campground (on mules and horses, not a campground) in the Bob Marshall Wilderness. It was the chair everyone was fighting over. When we got home I bought two for myself and my husband, they have a supportive high back so my almost crippled husband can sit comfortably in them. We used them at the beach all summer and they were easy to pack. I wish they had armrests and feet so they don't sink into the sand, but that's a…

The main advantage is small size/light weight

I bought this to use at an air show where I need to carry it a certain distance. Comes with a zip case and a carrying strap. Much smaller and lighter than similar full size chairs. Not as stable and comfortable as full-size chairs, but it's a compromise to save weight and bulk. Suitable for my purposes with infrequent use. Better than sitting on the floor. A little bulky for the serious backpacker, but small enough for occasional use at events. The price is a bit high but I used the points from

OK but better options available

This chair is decent but for the price it lacks some of the things that other brands include. I prefer the Nice C brand chair. It's a little lighter, has a much more comfortable headrest, looks sturdier and has 2 small mesh side pockets. On the contrary, you can also add attachments. They're both packed about the same size. The Cascade Mountain's only advantage is the mesh back panel (if that's your preference and I don't) and the legs could be a little better designed for stability. Other…

The most comfortable, lightest and most stable chair!

I've been trying to find a comfortable lightweight folding chair for hiking and kayaking for 50 years. Eureka! After all! This allows me to sit in my preferred, more upright position than most camp chairs. Perfect fit for my small figure (5ft 2 1/2, 125#) like a cocoon but not tight at all. It could also accommodate a larger frame, but not overweight people. The headrest is only on me in the middle of the back of the head. So stable and comfortable even on wet gravel sand, I felt instantly…
