I'm embarrassed to admit how much I love those silly little dishwasher bags. After a few washes with Cascade Platinum I noticed a marked improvement in the condition of my pots, cutlery and clear stainless steel glasses. Where Finish left a whitish sheen, Cascade cleaned it, leaving very few water spots. The inside of my dishwasher is white so it always looks clean to me. I don't have hard water so these issues don't bother me either. The only issue I have is that I have washed several colored cast aluminum drinking cups in the dishwasher and they have become very dull.

I have tried this product and also Electrosol tablets to see if the results are any better than my boring old box of Wal-Mart dish soap. , their use does not allow prewashing with detergent - you just need to put one of the packs in the main wash compartment, and I think it should be said "the hell with the prewash". Now it has become a pre-rinse. Second, I noticed that after opening the main wash door, it takes some time for any of these bags to dissolve. I think the above two points are moot…
