We bought this because our little one likes tossing things around the room and wanted to protect the remote control and anyone or anything that might get hit. This case is beautiful and durable. Overall it seems like a good case for the Fire TV remote. Quite thick and well padded. I have two young kids who always reach for the remote, so it gives me peace of mind (and helps keep the battery compartment open).
