Caseology Vault - Matte Black Apple AirTag Case for AirTag Keychain (2021) Review

Exactly as described, fits perfectly. Perfect when I need to find my keys again when I've lost them. Maybe there will be more in the future so other items can be attached. The only thing I don't like is that it can be a different color.

The only thing I would like to change is that one end of the hole where the airtag is inserted has been closed. The silver part of the airtag fell off immediately after insertion. The closed end prevents this from happening when I attach this thing to a dog or something that moves a lot.

For starters, this $15 case is a simple hard rubber keychain. Nothing superfluous. My biggest issue is that the metal side of the AirTag actually protrudes from the case by about half a millimeter. But enough to scratch the Apple logo. Second, the metal side (which is actually the battery cover) tends to "unscrew". I had to lift the cover and battery off the floor. I hate to say this but maybe I'll spend $$ on a real Apple case :(

Not sure with only a 1 star rating at the time of writing this review... Maybe they know something I don't know as I won't have a real airtag in a few days. 🤔 🧐 The case itself and the carabiner seem to be sufficient. I prefer this design to Apple's keychain/loop design. This rating may be a bit hasty, but as long as the Airtag fits and stays secure I see no reason not to give it 5 stars. Let's hope Caseology gets the measurements right! For your health!

This case has many good reviews leading me to believe it is durable and reliable. I was wrong, it holds the air tag in place but pops out easily. The design looks good, but it doesn't work well. It's strong enough to hold the notch in place to unscrew the battery cover, rendering it useless. Unless you're putting it in your pocket (which defeats the purpose of a solid case), I wouldn't trust its external mount. I wanted a small and waterproof case for my dog's collar. It's advertised as small, waterproof, and perfect for dog collars. It's not one of them. It's not waterproof. It only holds the edges of the security tag, both sides are fully open. Not small either. You could cut out a huge amount of material around where the cover attaches to things. Last month my bag was stolen and I was looking for a way to track my bag with GPS and found Air Tags had just turned up. I bought this keychain because it received a lot of positive feedback quickly and looks well designed. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the overall product when I received it. You insert the Airtag into this holder by pressing it in. The opening in the TPU is slightly smaller than in the Airtag so it stays in place under pressure from the holder.
