🐴 Cashel Econo Horse Fly Mask with Ears - Standard Size Review

Another fly mask I ordered (horse size) was too big for our horse. I ordered Arabian size for our small (14.2) Quarter Horse and it fits just right (too small). It stays on and the gold/brown color is great. Let's see how long the lightweight mesh on the mask lasts.

I wear fly masks all summer and my horses are cruel to them. They are definitely above average, love the fit, I have horses of all sizes, they wear well unless the horse is just itchy, can't get scratched. In any case, I highly recommend it.

Large Cashel fan already - very durable and easy to care for/clean. These masks hold up well. Was delighted to find this mask on the Cashel website - the fact that it was palomino gold was a super bonus as I use it on my dark gold palomino - would add more stars than 5 if I could - strong velcro - stretchy forelock but still well made, doesn't tear easily - keep making great Cashel products! Mask works well for my Arabians, looks good and is the best protection against flies. The main disadvantage is that there is no hole/slot for the horse's forelock. You should smooth the hair on the front of the forehead, meaning the longer strands will be in the horse's eyes. I modified the mask by cutting and sewing a slit in the area below the ear holes. The manufacturer should have done that. There are masks that have this feature inherently, so I'll buy one of those next time.
