Casio AQ S810W AQ S810 Watchband Review

Everyone is talking about how difficult the installation was. Using a small pen-like object (I used the tip of a protractor) I replaced both straps about 20 minutes after opening the package. The real problem was that my pins weren't in the best shape and I bent a lot. If my pins were straight it would take half the time. The straps are factory made and fit perfectly. Much better than buying a new watch

Very difficult to put on the watch but it's not the strap. The design of the watch and the snug fit of the strap made arranging and attaching the pins that attach the strap to the watch extremely difficult. It seems that Casio designed the watch in such a way that it was easier to buy a new watch than to change the strap. Again, this isn't the band's fault.

I'm not sure if it's the watch design or the poor manufacturing tolerance of this original Casio strap, but this strap is incredibly difficult to replace. I have an AQ-S810W and it has survived everything I've thrown away in the last 6-7 years except for a belt change. Aligning the pins with the holes in the clock was the work of God. If I have to change the strap again, I will unfortunately just throw the watch away. On the plus side, it came quickly.

Dimensions of the plane surfaces do not match the original. I suspect a cheap fake! The planes that fitted the watch were not the same as the original, making it impossible to align the holes without trimming and filing. I removed the buckle from both the new and old strap, removed the strap holding the strap and that was all it took, then replaced the buckle on the old strap. I ordered a black strap and it showed my particular watch model as the correct one. When it arrived the package said it was a black stripe but it was actually a dark olive color. I figured I could live with that since it's not a business suit watch, so I tried installing it. The protrusions were too long for the pins to fit in the recess. Just doesn't fit. The tolerances are violated, so the tape cannot be installed. I refused to replace the Casio strap for my W736H. It's just too uncomfortable for the user. It's better to throw this thing away and buy a new watch. Casio and its suppliers make it very difficult, but not impossible, to understand the suitability of specific models.
