Much better than ceramic models that rely on a candle for heat. At some point even the best ceramic heating pad will shatter in an open flame. This is made from bar iron. It's heavy but will never break.

I already had one. I've never had a problem removing used wax. Usually place in the freezer for an hour and the wax will pop right out. It is impossible. I need to melt and pour out the wax.

nice idea, that says it all. Yes, it will melt the wax, but once you touch it or take it out of the pan, the wax hardens very quickly. I can't use this for wax seals on wedding invitations, it just doesn't hold enough heat.

Item arrived broken. The barrel iron pan itself is very pretty and appears to be of good quality, but the bottom is not very good. The base of this product is supported by three small balls that look cheaply glued or soldered. One of these balls was missing when it arrived rendering this product unusable. I really wanted to enjoy this product.

Love it! One star deducted because, as others have mentioned, the tea light isn't high enough to completely melt the cake. I tried stacking two candles on top of each other but the top one kept tipping over so I took a used candle (just an empty aluminum bowl) and turned it upside down and placed the new candle on top. The wax burned perfectly and the pan is just adorable. Very satisfied.

I ordered this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. You liked it, me too. The pan is quite heavy and durable, real cast iron. The stand is pretty standard. Using this we placed an inverted candle at the bottom and then one at the top to give it more height. This worked very well and soon the large melt of wax was completely melted. This wax warmer and coaster set is absolutely gorgeous and a perfect miniature of the real thing. 5 Stars!

I wish it was an electric scent but I bought a huge pack of tea lights. I use about 2 a day. I was able to fit 4 squares of wax in mine with room left, so despite its size it fits quite a bit. I have Scentsy wax so it's half a can. I turn it on in the morning, then again in the early evening and it works very well. I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews but I'm happy with it. I've been using a scented wax pan every day for the past two weeks (any brand will do, they all melt the same).
