🖌️ Faber-Castell 48 Watercolor Pencils Set with Sharpener and Brush Review

Pencil lines cannot be washed off with water. Looks messy. They didn't get any attention at all, they were returned for a more expensive set. Maybe acceptable for kids/newbies?

Faber-Castell is ideal for colored pencils; The quality of the wood is very good, especially when sharpening it does not break or crumble. I like their watercolor pencils because they are lighter than oil-based pencils - shades are lighter but can be darkened, which I like for the contrast they can create in colour.

Full disclosure: I'm not a professional artist, just an occasional hobby. However, my sister is a pro and she loves them, although watercolor isn't her favorite medium (she uses oil paints). Still, I love these pens. In my limited experience they work quite well and I love the variety of colors in this pack. The case is pretty slick and overall a pleasure to use.

These are not genuine premium Faber-Castell watercolor pencils. They are made in Indonesia for the Asian market. Of course, in all four (FOUR!) photos above, the seller is only showing the front of the case, as the back clearly shows that they are made in Indonesia and not Germany like most original Fabers. -Castell colors. Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer artists' watercolor pencils are genuine; it's more like a cheap prismacolors for kids art kit. Shame on this seller.

I really like these pens. I was looking for a set of watercolor pencils to start with and have only heard good things about this brand. I have to say I agree 100%. The pigment you get is amazing. I used it for a wedding invitation and it was a hit. They were easy to use and layer. I'm currently working on a greeting card in which I've included an image to give you an idea of how vibrant colors can be. I also found the price very reasonable and suitable for most budgets.

Good watercolor pencils. Cleverly packaged design: A dual-layer pen tray slides out of a loop at the top. By pulling out the tray from the bottom, you can find a place to store the sharpener. It's nice to keep everything in order. However, due to my inexperience, I thought they would resemble the Albrecht Dürer Faber Castell watercolor pencils ( Faber-Castell 12 Albrecht Dürer Artists' Watercolor Pencils ).
