🚧 Cat Steel Dump Truck for Construction Review

I was going to buy a tonka for my grandkids this CHRISTMAS but all but AMAZON sold out for $75. No way! So Caterpillar is what they got and they are just as good as the tonka I bought which I am really disappointed with. Same size as Tonka. Exactly.

This makes a great gift for a naughty toddler. It's a little expensive, but it's durable and not easy to break. My little one rides his figures from behind. This should definitely be on Santa's gift list if you have a toddler who is rough with their toys.

This is a hit with my 4 year old. He walks around with it all day and loves to fill it with toys and throw it away. He's playing hard and it's still holding up well. It can even fit inside (it's tiny). Really great toy. I really hope this continues! Definitely recommend.

The shovel of this dump truck is made of metal, but the body is made of plastic. The things that keep the garbage on the truck are made of plastic. My son broke it within 24 hours of getting it for his birthday due to falling off the dump. I replaced it with the same one and the second one seems to be holding up better so far.

I really liked this toy as it reminded me of the one I had as a kid. The metal frame of the toy is good and durable. The weak point is the metal axle that is connected to the plastic wheel. This part warped in over 3 months because my 2 year old got close to it. It's still moving, but I don't see this thing doing it for the next 3 months.

This is a very good dump truck and I'm sure my 3 year old grandson will love it. Excited that not everything steel. Most of the truck is made of plastic. Although advertised as a "Steel Dump Truck". My generation believed that if this thing was only made of metal, a child would not be in serious danger. I think it's either a fear that kids might get hurt or a way to make them cheaper! Nice gift though!

The dump truck I bought for my grandson arrived today. It is excellent! I wasn't sure what to expect, I was nervous that all the sand toys I bought might be cheap. I wanted to find some of the dump trucks and excavators my sons played with 25 years ago when they were little. I found it with this Cat dump truck. It's big and seems very sturdy. Strong enough to withstand a 5 year old's play. I am very happy that my grandson will start playing with it!

My six year old son first encountered this dump truck over the summer when we were at the beach with his friend. I finally bought it for him for Christmas. Delivery was quick considering the holiday. The dump truck makes a very solid and well-made impression. My son still enjoyed playing with him in the sand and mud. This truck is perfect for my 3 year old, he can fill it up with sand, rocks or tennis balls and wheel it all over the beach or backyard and it's not too difficult for him to manage completely. It's big enough that it can literally go a few miles without scraping your knees, and the wheels are big enough to get over sandy hills and bumps. Unfortunately we have had it for less than a day and it has already started to rust. Looks like the bed paint just doesn't hold up well so it comes off easily.
