High-Quality Catalytic Converter for Chevy Malibu, Pontiac G6, and Saturn Aura 2.4L - EPA Compliant, AUTOSAVER88 Review

This item didn't even last 4 months. After purchasing and installing this item in March, it completely deteriorated in July. At first everything was fine, the check engine light went out and the car drove normally. In the fourth month the light came on again, the car started making a terrible exhaust noise. I want my money back!

I ordered this product because I thought it would be compatible with my 2007 Pontiac G6. I paid for the installation and the code is still active. I've been to several mechanics and they all told me the product was cheap and incompatible. I changed the oxygen sensor and exhaust pipe just in case, but the P0420 issue is still the same.

It works for me. But every now and then I still have a warning light. It fits and comes with everything you need such as gaskets, nuts and exhaust bolts. Save the engine bolts and studs! Note: You will need to install studs (3/16 head) at the end of the catalytic converter to the exhaust pipe. Also, the nuts that come with them are oddly sized and don't quite fit my inch or metric sockets, and I've already had one fall out.

Easy to replace, seems good quality especially for the price. This swap also solved a small issue with shifting in 1st and 2nd gears when driving around town. The ECU will not compensate for a worn coil. Received codes p0420 on obdii. No longer. The ECU has since studied this cat and the car runs like a champ! Now let's talk about durability. Here on the Revain site it says the warranty is 5 years at 50,000 miles. I hope it's worth it. In general I am very satisfied at the moment.

I bought this for my 08 Malibu in November 2019 and installed it in December 2019. As I am writing this review in September 2020 this cat is out of service and emitting exhaust fumes. and sounds like a chainsaw. I've had this problem before and have changed O2 sensors before. But the cat didn't make it. I've run the motor twice with cat cleaner to see if it's dirty or clogged, but no luck. Very low pressure from the exhaust pipe. Unfortunately this failed as this cat appeared to be quite robust

The catalytic converter is significantly better than the one I replaced a few years ago. Everything fits well for the 2008 Pontiac G6 2.4L. I would recommend if you are installing this yourself attaching the bottom first as there is a flexible connection underneath the transducer. Then tighten some nuts on the engine and attach the stabilizer bar, then fully attach it to the engine. Easy installation in less than an hour.
