Lol activated charcoal filter in the cat box

This is probably a pretty good addition to the bottom line for your folks trying to convince themselves that the activated charcoal filter at the top of the box cats will pee and poo the smell fight. It is also effective to close the lid ventilation. My cats have not complained about the lack of roof ventilation in their dirty litter box. 3 stars for the space required in the lid.

Covers the hole in the top of the box

TBH I'm not sure how effective this is at eliminating odors but I change them out every three months because I feel like I need it and it covers the hole in the top of the box. If the cat drops the bomb this thing is useless, but since it's a charcoal filter I suspect it actually mitigates stubborn odors and helps fight odors in the final phase of the litter's life cycle.

Does not fit my tablet

See picture for reference. Square rather than rectangular, this filter barely fits in my tray. I think they are made for a specific tablet brand. I was expecting regular activated carbon filters to be the size of a dryer sheet but slightly thicker. I got it working though. Seems to do a good job of filtering peel odors. Next time I'll just have to pick a different brand and hope they fit right.

Cheap and effective

Redemption. We have three cats and several jumbo litter boxes. We like to swap them out every few months because they really absorb any leftover smells. While it's best to empty the litter box every time the cat goes to the bathroom, it definitely helps with lingering odors and also when the cats are out in the middle of the night and we can't pick it up right away. Very easy to install and inexpensive, so as long as you have compatible tablets, buying them is a no-brainer for me.

Catit Activated Carbon Replacement Filter

Definitely worth buying as it neutralizes odors well. I didn't know how much until the tray I bought was a few months old. I suddenly smelled the sheets and I clean them daily, but the smell was much stronger than what I was used to. Put in a new filter and voila, lasts a few more months! I can't be absolutely sure it was a few months, I'm just guessing it could have been longer, but trust me it makes a huge difference. Let your nose guide you. I'll have a supply ready, that's for sure.

. No seriously. you replace. You will know when you need it. You will. Knows. When I had a Bengal kitten, he also cursed for throwing it up, although my other cat, who I've had since he was a kitten, never really cared. If you have a cat/kitten, like my psycho Bengal, who climbs curtains and sits on ledges until the whole thing falls out of the wall with him, put a large object (I choose a large detergent bottle since my litter box is in the laundry room) and simply stick it on. This will also…

Works wonders with Catit trays!

These filters work great in Catit shells. I am renting a room in a house and need to keep a tray in my bedroom. Not perfect, I know, but I have no choice. I bought a large white hooded litter box and ordered these as they were a great price. In combination with the tray, they fully retain the smell. I don't even smell when my two cats are pooping. It really impressed me! I have used activated carbon filters before and have never noticed any reduction in odor. I'm definitely a loyal and lifelong

UPDATE 7/12/16: A month later my little buddy finally found the filter and tried to tear it to pieces. Since it's thicker and stronger than the others, it's a bit harder for him to destroy this one, so I think after a few minutes he'll get tired of hacking and leave. I've covered him with a book, but from time to time he remembers it's there and starts digging. Just take a look. I understand that sooner or later he will take a piece, pull it out, and the pieces will be scattered throughout the…
