Requires metal fittings, but so far it's working.

This collar still holds up. The lettering is clear and easy to read. I have a dog (of 9) that I would rather keep people away from. Between that and a few "beware of the dog" signs, everyone had the idea. I really wish it had all the metal hardware as old Stubby goes down the line pretty hard sometimes when he's putting on a show. Overall I am very happy with it and it serves its purpose.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Empty

They Don't Work: Collars

These collars and leashes don't work, they either scare people or ignore them. And if you put him on the bully race, you're probably just perpetuating the unfounded belief that they're all dangerous and untrainable. Try a "tactical” collar or harness like working dogs do (don't pass your dog off as a working dog!), people tend to have a lot of respect for this gear and it's not like having it in your basement manufactured. .

I had high hopes, but only partially fulfilled

The collar itself seems to be well made. It's pretty wide too. However, the sliding closure doesn't really hold tight, so it can come loose if the dog pulls on the leash. Because of this, I still have to use his regular leather leash. The locking mechanism feels nice and is easy to use. Another thing is that it does not stand out and does not attract attention at night. I know it's not meant to be, but that's usually when I use it, so I thought I'd mention it. In general, this is good because…
