Great monopod! The best tripods and monopods

This is a much better quality monopod than the one I've used for years. Very durable, very easy to use. More complex than my cheaper simpler one I've had for years, but much more versatile.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Cayer AF34 Monopod: Monopods

I bought this monopod to carry around for photo shoots. I installed my Nikon D850, it runs very stable. I like the small footprint more than the large footprint of my tripod. Easily attaches to a backpack, won't dangle when walking. I recommend this product.

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Doesn't fit all

Product Works like clockwork

I use this monopod for weddings and events. After a little adjustment and tightening the legs with the wrench that comes in the carry case, I was able to get a monopod to support my 502 head, camera and field monitor. This monopod is definitely worth its price.

Not impressed UPDATED: now impressed!

I would not recommend this for video purposes. The pan is very narrow and not smooth. 2 out of 3 steps started to slide on first use! I've only used the a6400 with a medium sized lens. So not much weight. UPDATE: Cayer sent me a replacement unit. This device is much better. Great buy for the money. Thank you!

Very impressed with the quality of this monopod

I bought this to use for live streaming from my iPhone during my daughter's soccer games. I already had a mount for my iPhone that attaches to this one. I am impressed with the quality of this product. I love the fact that the monopod has 3 small folding legs at the base that can be adjusted or removed. The monopod comes with a nice travel bag, making it easy to store. I travel with a monopod so can easily remove the top and bottom of the unit for easy packing in my suitcase and taking with me.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Functionality

Good enough for the money

I've mainly used it as a legless monopod with my DSLR and a large lens. For that I think it will be good because I don't need the pan function, which is MUCH stiff and not smooth at all - sticking in places when turning. It's so rigid (yes, fully unlocked) that if you turn it the wrong way (to the left) it will try to unscrew the mount from the monopod. However, the instructions contain neither a reference to not tightening the fastening screws nor information on removing the foot and attaching

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than other models

Great product for camera and photography

This is my first liquid head monopod so I can't compare to any other. What I can tell you is that I find the liquid head to be smooth and easy to use. Locking mechanisms are reliable. The carrying case that comes with it seems really good, better than expected. Accessories have been hidden in the inner zip pocket. Nice gesture! My only complaint is that the lever to lock the quick release plate is difficult to reach since the locking lever is on the grip. Also, an Allen wrench is used to…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Minor issues

Customer service is great!

I bought this monopod to help with the corporate and wedding shoots I do with bmpcc4k. My rig is a decent size (camera, 20-70mm, vmount battery, external monitor) but it handled it pretty well. I definitely wouldn't leave it unattended as it could tip over with all its weight, but the extensions have never slipped for the size of my rig. The build quality is excellent and the form factor is really versatile. This allows it to be folded, fully extended, or even used as a tabletop tripod. It also
