Love this tripod

I was looking for a moving head tripod and decided to try this brand. I did the field test during the funeral and it was amazing. I think I will buy my wife a second one.

Good enough for me!

Overall: Good value for money with DSLR and mirrorless cameras. Workmanship: The build quality seems solid. Locks close with a comfortable feeling. Should last a long time with moderate wear. Performance: Panning and tilting with the fluid head was smooth. I've used other Cayer heads before and the feel is the same. Value: I think it matches the rest of the market, maybe a little more, but the Cayer hasn't disappointed me yet and comparing it to the carbon fiber version will help you decide if…

Regular tripod mainly for DSLR or mirrorless cameras

Good - It's lighter than most video tripods - Allows for smooth pan and tilt - Easy to set up Bad - Overpriced - Long process to go from tripod to monopod, talk you about the bad . Designed more for DSLRs and mirrorless cameras, this tripod costs over $100, which I think is higher than other video tripods that can handle larger camcorders. Also, changing from a tripod to a monopod requires the use of an Allen key. You'll likely need pliers to loosen the main screw that attaches to the tripod…

Tremendous value for complete tripods

The reviewer who wrote that it was overpriced must have been somewhere in the 'old' days. I've been a photographer 99% of the last 20 years, but before that I shot a lot of videos. Back then you couldn't touch a moving head video tripod of this quality at this price. It would cost you 3-5 times more even in 1980s/90s dollars. This tripod is a monster. able to go very high and MUCH more powerful than the typical "frugal" tripod. The terminals and connectors are a mix of metal and plastic, but…

well built but fairly light and compact

This is an amazingly compact tripod when folded and in a (well tailored) carrying case, but fully extends to 75 inches (>6ft). and center column feel solid, and I was able to easily mount a Canon 60D digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera with a zoom lens. video panning. The pan head includes a quick release plate and two standard camera mounting screws, 1/4" and 3/8" (the latter can be stored in the silver screw on the left side of the pan head); The plate mounts under your camera and…

Professional camera tripod

My first career was on television. We call tripods "sticks" in the industry, and I can tell you that as a producer, screenwriter, cinematographer, and videographer, I've carried and used them more than I could wield a stick. I currently use such a tripod for my own videos and photographs and work with the best professional setups, so I have high standards. This tripod answers them. i really like him The most important thing for me is a liquid head. Even an expensive tripod without a tripod…

The first tripod I didn't want to lose!

As an amateur photographer, I own the most tripods on the planet! I use so much and lose so much that I usually buy half a dozen of these (yes I do). Both cheap and expensive. I invariably leave one lying around while packing and never see it again. I wish they could all get together and talk about how I left them! I finally found a real tripod that I don't want to lose or leave behind. This is the first tripod I really like and the most useful tripod I've ever owned. It literally solves all…

A few shortcomings

One thing I have to say right away is that this model, the FP 2450, has NO leveling head. When I looked at the diagram in the instructions that called the built in leveling ball I was happy. The quick leveling method is essential when working with video cameras. When I looked at the tripod, I found that there was NO leveling ball. So I moved on to the part of the guide that goes into more detail about the leveling ball. Only then does "if available” appear in brackets. The instructions are not…
