The wall switch has two light buttons. One for the larger bulb under the fan and a small round button for the fan with night light. However, the receiver that comes with this package only has three wires to connect to the fan. There is no orange wire that controls the night light. Very disappointed that I cannot use the night light function as it is in the bedroom. I had to pay an electrician to install it so there was no return for the correct receiver at no extra cost.

Works perfectly. Hope you don't have to buy more.

Perfect replacement for the failed radio in my Minka Aire fan. To replace this you'll need a Phillips screwdriver, a hanging hook (which came with your fan - if you threw it away you can use a bent piece of hanger wire), wire cutters and wire strippers, and a partner. to stabilize fans. A buddy is only needed towards the end when you attach the receiver mount. The exchange took me about 30 minutes. The new receiver worked great with the original remote control.

Direct replacement for the device that failed after a power surge

This was a direct replacement for the device that failed after a power surge. The receiver, not the wall switch transmitter, is usually the part that fails if you're a person like me and you've had to replace one of them. I ended up buying a kit that included both the receiver and a new wall plate, although I was pretty sure I wouldn't need either. But the complete kit is only a few dollars more expensive than buying the two components individually. So if you don't know which one is defective…

Generally very good! Pretty easy installation

It's great to have a controller that doesn't require batteries or an outlet. The buttons are a bit smaller than the original remote (because it has to fit the Lutron hole, so a little trickier). The receiver works great as the one that came with my fan seems to have died after about 7 years. The only downside is that I didn't notice that the wall transmitter doesn't have reverse (as far as I can tell) so I still have to use the original remote for that. However, both controllers can now control

Works with replacement Minka fan switch, ours was 15 years old)

Great replacement for all 4 of our remote controlled Monk fans. Our fans are 15 years older but still compatible. We had an electrician install new receivers and wall controls. It was pretty easy. Just a tip/reminder: if you install multiple of these fan controllers, make sure you set each one to a frequency diff number so the switches are separate. Our electrician didn't notice and installed them all with no change in frequency when we turned on a fan switch. All the Minky fans in the house…

Wall Mounted Ceiling Fan with Remote Control

We've always bought MinkaAire ceiling fans but when we were renovating our new home it wasn't in the budget to get a fan for all of our rooms where one was needed (they can be quite be expensive). However, one of my favorite things about them was the remote control and with that we could install Hunter fans (much cheaper) and control them with the MinkaAire remote and it works great. Class! I love that it mounts on the wall so my kids can't lose the remote or confuse it with other rooms. And…

CAUTION - DOES NOT control top and bottom lights separately

This product was purchased to replace our original Minka Aire switch. Information on it suggests that it will control a 3-speed fan, ceiling and ceiling lights. The instructions even list separate top and bottom light switches (see attached photo). However, there are only three wires from the transmitter to the fan housing; Two for the motor and one for the headlight fan. If you have both top and bottom lights, you cannot control them independently with this transmitter. You can have EITHER top
