It was a replacement.

I used this in my car with my iPhone for Apple Car Play. It doesn't work with Apple Air Play in my car. So I had to buy another one. I only work as a loader.

Good price and does the job

This charger works great and works as it should, just like when you are actually charging your phone, it slides out and fits neatly in your pocket. It's not "smooth" when you pull it out, meaning you can feel and hear the mechanism, but it stays in place for your chosen length. We've been using it for a few months now with no problems. Happy with this purchase.

Great idea just didn't last

Had to send two back Both mFi chips failed and the Apple Play radio couldn't connect to my phone. Customer service was great. They replaced the first cable and immediately refunded my money after the second one failed after 3 uses. It's a shame. In my experience, this is very common with most cables. All of them can't connect my phone to car play, charger etc. These third parties have great ideas for cables and accessories. Few last long.

I hate dangling cables.

I love these cords. I have one in the car, one in the RV, and I plan on getting at least one more for the ATV. No dangling cords to get caught and drag the unit to the ground. No more tangled cables in your pocket or purse. No cables to get under your feet or tangle things in the car. I use them with 2A and 1A USB adapters and have never had any issues with overheating or not charging fast enough. All my devices recognize it and charging works reliably. My first is over a year old, broken inโ€ฆ

6-8 inches shorter than the official Apple Lightning cable

This cable always coils properly. I am annoyed that it is 6-8 inches shorter than the Apple Lightning cable when unfolded. I notice this when my iPad is connected to a laptop that's charging on my coffee table. A bit of brevity is enough that getting comfortable on the couch without squatting is annoying because the laptop is too far away from the iPad in my hands, making me squat a bit. One of life's little annoyances. I would not consider purchasing again because of this issue. If a fewโ€ฆ
