1/8 mark is good

Bought this for 1/8 mark because it's easy and convenient for me - they even come in metric sizes. A+ on all sides. It doesn't have a "reach" on its own like some other bands, I have a Dewalt that can stretch 10 feet or more. I have this one to go about 8 feet, but that's not a priority for me.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Just not good: Linear measurement

Already 2 have gone bad. The tape broke on one reel and on the other. Good for a homeowning job, but if you're in sales, go for Milwaukee or something else that's been tested. Spend once, not twice. It's great that you can always return it, but that's just stupid. I like things that work. But if it's a homeowner's project, it will do the trick.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Doubtful

I love this tape measure because I can actually read.

I love this tape measure because I can actually read the numbers! the band is wide and even holds. I'll have to order a folding ruler because I can't keep these types of rulers straight without bending them when measuring at long distances when it's pennies.

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Not sure

The concept is good. Functionality is questionable

While the concept of the device is great, in my experience the functionality needs an overhaul. I bought it on a Tuesday and today, Thursday, received , and sent it back after opening it and it didn't bounce back. I will say it has a reading in feet not just inches so I liked it. However, I can't use this type of tape measure unless it will rewind properly.

Pros
  • Full blade 1-1/4" wide for more expressiveness
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Minor damage, check calibration, band fine

I like the easy to read numbers and the width of the band itself. However, I did notice that the band was damaged around the 50-inch mark, but that's no big deal. My biggest complaint is that the strap itself was 0.063" or 1/16" shorter. Where I work we deal with some tight tolerances where 1/16th can be a bit out of spec although the tape is decent. I am not sure if I will buy more

Pros
  • Large, easy to read fractions and decimals for quick and accurate measurements
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

But not a bad band.

Nice tape, I like that not only is it marked but shots on the tool are easy to see. Useful when my assistant calls measurements. I've had several instances where the tape didn't unravel as easily as I think. Also, be careful as the edges of the tape are razor sharp. Three cuts for almost the same number of uses. I wouldn't buy it again but don't hate it enough to return it and deal with this issue.

Pros
  • Non-slip rubber will not damage delicate surfaces
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
