Fairly heavy duty, best hand tools

I use it for cutting 9/16" threads in hardened steel and it holds the tap well (doesn't slip out of the tool) Seems to be pretty well made . I would recommend it.

Pros
  • Hand tools
Cons
  • String is shorter than other picks

Will not fit 7/8 " tap

This wrench is meant to hold taps with 3/8" to 1" shank but won't even close to 1" . I tried fitting a 7/8" shaft but it was too big to fit. I measured the hole on the wrench at 5/8 inch. boo

Pros
  • Wrench
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

I just use pliers to tighten/loosen it and it works fine.

Works well. As others have noted, the coarse pitch on the threads makes it difficult to tighten to keep the tap from slipping out. I just use pliers to tighten/loosen it and it works fine.

Pros
  • Adjustable wrench
Cons
  • Not sure
