Permanent linear shrinkage 3.5% max at 2200F when exposed to 24 hrs. soaking heat loss on Ignition(LOI) at 1832 F will be 4-7%. Good Machinability: Ceramic fiber Thermal Insulation Board can be easily cut & use with a hacksaw blade or knife. It can also be drilled or machined to match various dimensions as per the requirement of your application. 3D Printer Platform Insulation

I bought this as an insulator for a heated stage on my 3D printer. It copes well with stabilizing temperature changes and keeps the temperature better. It's a little fragile so I wrapped it in painters tape to keep it from peeling.

Amazing Mini Forge Liner

I used this to line a homemade mini forge and it exceeded my expectations in many ways. It only took 7 minutes to reach the maximum temperature and the heat was more even than using light refractory bricks. My steel forge's appearance after 30 minutes still only registered 170F. This is amazing stuff!
