I bought it for a trip abroad but continued to use it at home. I prefer it to my big iron! I have a chin length bob and this is perfect for adding texture/wave to my hair.

This is the first iron I have ever had and I have been using it for about a month. The cord comes out of the base of the iron, there is a little notch where you can see the line next to the screw. Put your thumbnail on each side and pull down, you can "open" the iron. It's quite small but I don't need a bigger size. It heats up very quickly and keeps a constant temperature (after 2 minutes). Although it arrived relatively late I am satisfied with the quality of this item. This is my first time buying a mini iron so I have no comparison. But given my large iron, it's a handy travel item. I love this mini iron. I've tried several different brands of mini irons and this one is by far the best. It heats up quickly and the two ceramic pads close properly so all ironed hair is even. There have been complaints about the locking mechanism that holds the iron together when not in use. I found the locking mechanism worked well and wasn't difficult to use. Great product again. I will be ordering more for gifts, one for my holdall and one for my van.

I originally bought this straightener just to straighten my roots. I'm black with natural curly/curly hair 4/b. Not only do they completely straighten my roots, I can use them down to my bra straps. I love this iron! My only complaint is that I wish it had come in a larger size. I paid the full $11-$12+ and this review is based on my own experience and opinion.

This straightener is perfect for traveling or when space is limited. I have very thin, wavy, straight hair that doesn't hold heat well. This straightener tames the waves and frizz I have without burning my hair as some straighteners get too hot when in use.
