It delivers the speed that's claimed from a Thunderbolt 3 cable, well made by a manufacturer I definitely like a lot (lots of good stuff from anchor). It's black and doesn't get dirty like Apple's white cables, but it's (always) too short. I can't use it with any of my Type-C chargers (Anchor, of course) to charge my MacBook Pro as it can't last longer, so I'm keeping the $29 cable in the box just to connect it to a Type-C C disk to use.

I use it to charge my 2018 Macbook Pro. Full power (87W) charging requires a Thunderbolt 3 cable when using a compatible 87W or higher wall charger. (many don't understand this). Also, it's the only black cable on Amazon with this kind of performance, which is another reason I bought it. It works as advertised and delivers the right amount of power. If you do what I did, make sure the charger you buy is also rated for 87W or higher.

I've been looking for a quality cable that supports 100w charging and USB 3.1 full speed and so far all the cables have been very stiff, that perfect rubber is soft and very flexible. I had trouble connecting an external USB-C SSD with rigid cables because if you move the drive too far it can pull the cable out of my laptop's port and cause a shutdown. I don't see that as a problem with this cable, great Anker product as always.

Updated: Anker got back to me and sent me a replacement cable which so far works as advertised. Upgrade to four stars. I bought one of these to charge my MacBook Pro and for a cable that offers the highest data transfer speed. It's a thick, beefy cable that looks very suitable for the job. You can't go wrong with great ANKERS products. Every cable I've tried is great and works as intended. This cable combined with the PD Anker power supply works great for my desk. I was looking for a short cord to get rid of my desk clutter. This cable works great and charges my 2017 13" MacBook Pro. The cable and PD box take a little longer than a standard charger, but that's to be expected since there's less current. The cable is short, maybe 18 inches. I knew it, so it's not a problem. The extremely high transfer rate probably limits the cable length at this price point (which is also great). In the time it took me to figure out how to fix driver issues by connecting my laptop to my OnePlus 7 Pro phone and using the cable to transfer files, the battery was about 20% charged in MTP mode, which is a lot is better than any other line I have ever had. I came up with a new cable that is exactly the right length (1.6 feet) and color (black); It makes my desk much cleaner. Unfortunately for what I paid for this cable I am very disappointed.
