Works great from iMac to G-Raid storage!

I bought the ten foot version of this cable so I can move the noisy GRAID 4 hard drive array from my desk under my desk. I also just upgraded to a 2019 iMac that no longer has Thunderbolt 2 ports. I used the combination of this cable and the USB3/T3-T2 adapter to move the drive array and it worked flawlessly for months. We therefore recommend this cable without hesitation for the reliable transmission of large amounts of data.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Expandable

Expensive but better than buying a second monitor

Certified cable matters 3.3ft Black Thunderbolt Cable (Thunderbolt 2 Cable) paired with Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 The adapter enabled my old (Late 2013) iMac to be used as a second monitor for my iMac Pro while retaining the functionality of the old device. If the old iMac had had a minimum display port instead of Thunderbolt 2, the solution would have been significantly cheaper. Since the cost of both was about $93.

Pros
  • Shipping was very fast
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Works with Apple Thunderbolt Display

This is suitable for connecting my 2018 MacBook Pro to my Apple Thunderbolt Display. I connect a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 adapter to my computer and connect the adapter to this cable. Then plug the other end of this cable directly into the Thunderbolt 2 port on the back of the monitor. Thunderbolt displays are notoriously known for their built-in cables to stop working. This completely avoids this problem and my MacBook can also be further away from the monitor, e.g. B. under my…

Blast from my past.

Needless to say, they don't just sit around at any electronics store or department; Thunderbolt 3 is currently on everyone's lips. But I still use a peripheral (UA Apollo Twin Solo) that requires this protocol, so it was great to see it here. The only real knock I have against it is that it's very thin in my hand. I'm concerned that this might become an issue over time as it's pretty easy to short out after an accidental kink. But time will tell. It's the only white one I know of here, so I…
