Description of ๐ŸŒพ CERTIFIED ORGANIC Merino Wool Roving: Responsibly Sourced Fiber for Spinning, Felting, Filling, and Dryer Balls - 1 LB Bag, Natural White Combed Top

1 LB โ€” 100% MERINO WOOL ROVING 23mic โ€” CRUELTY-FREE - HYPOALLERGENIC - BIODEGRADABLE. WHY CHOOSE ORGANIC? Our merino sheep are raised on pesticide-free farms and their fiber is conscientiously processed. Happy, healthy sheep have the softest fleece!. PERFECT FOR MANY CRAFTS: Dyeing, spinning, needle felting, wet felting, or as a natural filling for toys, dolls, and pillows. Your safest choice for creating items for little ones. KIND TO SENSITIVE SKIN: Most commercially produced wool is passed through harsh chemical baths during processing. Some of these chemicals remain on the fiber, causing skin irritations. Many people mistakenly believe they are allergic to wool, when in fact they are sensitive to the chemicals used in processing. Our merino is processed safely without the use of toxic chemicals. ORGANIC CERTIFICATION by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and the Institute for Marketology (IMO)

Dishonest Labeling; Inferior Results

After I put it to the test, I found this product fell far short of its advertised claims. While it may boast about being certified organic and ethically responsible, this needle felting supply simply did not deliver. On the plus side, it was certainly affordable. However, that low price tag came with a startling lack of quality - this product easily shrunk, tangled, and broke even with gentle handling. I won't be fooled by misleading labels again.

Pros
  • Affordable pricing
Cons
  • Poor quality, misleading labeling

Ideal for Moses Baby Basket

Nice coat! I used this yarn to make the padding for my child's Moses basket, covering it with sheepskin and then a blanket wrapped tightly like a sheet. He likes it and started sleeping at night. We started with an organic wool pillow but it was thicker and I was afraid it might knock the basket over. Now I can put him in Moses' basket and not have to take care of him at all. The baby is happy, mom and dad are happy, sleeping more and I'm not worried about exposure to chemicals. win-win-win!

Pros
  • IDEAL FOR MANY crafts: dyeing, spinning, needle felting, wet felting or as a natural stuffing for toys, dolls and pillows. Your safest choice for creating items for the little ones.
Cons
  • Expensive

Ba, ba white sheep, thank you for your wool. ๐ŸŽผ

I am new to this type of purchase as I am learning how to do wet felting and dry felting so I was very careful in my choice. Part of the "take a closer look" criterion for the pile was wool that was certified organic and sourced ethically and responsibly. So I did more homework and finally settled on this yarn and I'm always glad I did! To be fair, and remember I was "new" to the art of wet felting and dry felting, I bought several small packs of similar wool items that fell into the "closer"โ€ฆ

Pros
  • WHY ORGANIC? Our Merino sheep are raised on pesticide-free farms and their wool is processed with care. Happy, healthy sheep have the softest wool!
Cons
  • High Price
