🚘 FRAM Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filter with Arm & Hammer Baking Soda for Toyota Vehicles - CF10285, White Review

Ordered this to replace the same Fram charcoal filter on a '09 Lexus IS. The new filter is much less dense and lighter, and also has bad edges. Bad edges will cause a whistling sound when the car fan is turned on. Very disappointed with fram and quality. It used to be good. Won't buy this again.

After a little research on the FRAM website they actually have two models of cabin air filters but it depends on when your car was actually produced . This is important because I bought the CF10285 and it didn't fit me. If you have a 2016 Prius built BEFORE 11/2015 this air filter will NOT fit your car as many reviews say. However, if your Prius is 11/15 or newer, you really need FRAM CF12157.

As above. It doesn't match the 2016 Toyota Prius in the sense that the filter bowl is designed that way. It fits the size but the filter pattern is in the opposite direction so a 5 inch piece of plastic that is on top of the filter will get in the way and the filter will not fit. If you don't break that piece of plastic off the filter holder, I did because I didn't want to deal with it anymore. I'm at 25K on my next service.

The orientation of the pleats in this filter does not match the direction of the rigid element in the 2016 Toyota Prius Two filter frame. The Revain page says "Fits 2016 Toyota Prius". This does not apply unless there are other 2016 Prius trims that are configured differently. Revain and/or FRAM should solve this problem. Install this filter with the arrow on the filter DOWN first! If you are using a genuine Toyota cabin air filter, the arrow should point UP. I'm not sure why Toyota put an arrow on their filter to indicate what is 'up', all other aftermarket filters use an arrow to indicate airflow direction. I am using a second Fram Fresh Breeze CAF and am 100% satisfied with it. It fits perfectly in the 2013 Toyota Tundra and installs in less than two minutes. I also swapped out the fan motor on my last filter change, so I took the opportunity to compare the airflow without the filter and with the new Fram filter. Perfect fit for 2015 Lexus RX350. Ignore all the crazy sizes shown here in the various filters, especially this one. Who knows what the hell they measured.
