Just what I needed for internal components

I needed extra USB ports for my computer. The motherboard had addons if I could port them. It had enough description for me to buy the right one. Delivery as expected.

Pros
  • Connect MainBoard Connector type: USB 9 pin,Number of USB ports: 4
Cons
  • No insurance

Works fine but cables are too short

This product works great and is inexpensive. BUT, the cables are only about 1 foot long each. Depending on the layout of your MB and the location of the empty slot on your chassis, 1ft may or may not be TOO SHORT! Before buying, you need to think about how you will lay the cables and measure the required length, taking into account the thickness and stiffness of the cable. In my case, this was close enough. If the USB ports were on the other side of the MB the cable would fail and I would have…

This is not the USB you are looking for.

Pretty poor quality. My computer recognized it on boot up, but when I plugged a USB device into the Logitech G29 from a mouse or keyboard, I got a warning from Windows and Gigabyte that the device didn't have enough power (or something like that). ) and continued use may cause my motherboard to fail. While I can't prove it, I believe it fried the RGB in my AIO. Since I tried it, one of the LEDs in the top left corner is green instead of turquoise and red instead of purple.

Pros
  • Compatible with USB 2.0 external hard drives such as WD My Passport / WD Elements / Toshiba Canvio / Seagate Backup Plus and others
Cons
  • No instructions

Ports work but only 3 out of 4 are available

Ports work BUT any of the 4 ports will not work with the back aligned so you can only use 3 of the 4 ports listed. But the available ports work.

Pros
  • Add additional USB 2.0 ports on the back of your computer to connect external USB hard drives, USB hubs and other USB devices
Cons
  • There are new competitors
