Men's Black Chaco ZVOLV Sport Sandals for Athletic and Casual Wear Review

It took me a few months to get used to these shoes but now I like them. Easy entry and exit. Great for water shoes or just to wear around the house.

I highly recommend these sandals. I've tried a few others this year but this is the perfect combination of weight and comfort on the insole.

I'm a wildlife guide in Utah and I wear Chaco year-round. After a bad experience with the "base" Chaco (z1/z2), I'm glad I found the much stronger, more durable and grippier Zvolv. The tread on them gives you a lot more traction when hiking and lasts a lot longer than the models mentioned later. They are comfortable and I only wear them on and off the field. If you like the arch support and style of the original Z1, don't buy the Zvolv. Yes they are noticeably lighter but they don't fit like my original chacos.

Great sandals! I love my chacos for a variety of uses - daily outings, everyday carry or hiking. The outsole of these sneakers is a bit thinner than the "classic" Vibram, but still very durable and not wearing out yet. Very satisfied. Looks good too - bought the teal sample and the colors look fresh.

The insole is not as soft as the old river bed style Chaco insole. And soles without Vibram feel weaker. I think time will tell. Will Chaco ever bring back Vibram soles and river bed insoles? They are the closest thing to the old low-profile chacos on Vibram soles.

All the amenities of the original Chaco with a lighter sole. I like to wear them in everyday life and when hiking I wear Chaco z2.

It's annoying to turn them on and off every time. I'm sure you get used to it, but it bothered me so much that I had to send it back. Also, I usually have 9.5-10, and 10 is too high for me. They are secure and comfortable when worn, just not my style.

I've been wearing chacos for 15 years and know a lot of people who wear them who have never seen the style before. Very comfortable, muscular but leaner than most stocky Chacos. I also love the strap design!

The strap material is a little lighter than the Z Classic, but overall a great sandal. This is my third pair of Chacos in 24 years. It's like a couple every 8 years. That's a pretty good track record in my book.

I've had several pairs of old Chacos (Z/1, Z/2, Yampa, Unaweep) and the Z/Volv seems to be half a size larger. They were a bit big and unfortunately I'm already a size 7 so I can't go smaller. Had to send them back :( The lighter sole on them is good but surprisingly doesn't really offer more cushioning or softness compared to the classic. They also don't seem that durable so I'm happy to stick with my unaweeps. I just hope Chaco doesn't everything will switch to this new sole!

I didn't like these sandals because they felt very awkward with such a thick sole. I'm not sure why they are so popular, but maybe other people use a different version. They don't flex at all when walking. While one thing I love is the strap's minimalist design, that's about all it has.
