Cam tensioner fell apart during installation

Internal cam tensioner fell apart during installation. The crimping at the end of the sleeve between the two halves is not complete. The part could cause catastrophic engine failure if it happens during operation.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Do not buy. Very cheap

These tensioners are cheaper and fall apart. Ordered twice to make sure it wasn't me. These things are terrible. Don't install them on your HD. You will regret it. Spend 30 euros more. It's worth it.

Pros
  • Nice item
Cons
  • No instructions

Not great - I decided to replace it with OEM

Became 1mm thicker than stock. I had to sharpen it a bit to get the locking ring to snap. and the spring is not high carbon steel, you get what you pay for. eventually decided to order HD OEM to replace these

Pros
  • . Great for me
Cons
  • For retirees

Poor quality part (part damaged in production)

Only 1 (of 2 ordered) was usable, part was damaged in production and was not good. Part quality is poor, this is an example of you get what you pay for. If one wasn't damaged they would be serviceable parts. I can only assume they would need to be replaced sooner than the OEM factory interval as the plastic they use appears to be cheaper than OEM (but this is just a guess). If you need a part to get you riding again this will likely work (assuming your part is intact like I have) but I would…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
