I usually wear a plus size and chose this XL anorak so I can wear a fleece sweatshirt underneath. The sleeves are shortened and the waist is a bit narrow so getting in and out can be a bit of a hassle. At the same time I bought the Charles River anorak in size XL and it fits and combines well. I have a bust size of 52 inches, according to the size chart, size 3x 54-56 should fit. The windbreaker I bought doesn't fit. I have enough space to put my hand between the fabric and my chest.
