Champion Sports Baseball Umpire 4-Wheel Call Order Indicator, Black: Unbeatable Performance for Umpires Review

Finally an indicator that makes sense! Most indicators have strikes and balls. Why? The referee says balls and shots, the players say balls in shots. Why click on the 3rd shot when the player is gone? I love it and have bought several. One for my car, one for my baseball bag and two just in case. It keeps me in the game when I'm in parks that don't have scoreboards.

The best thing about this indicator for me is that the word "Ball" is written first, and then the word "Strike". Most other indicators are opposite. The only drawback: the numbers on the dial are a bit too small. I just wish the wheels were white instead of bright yellow. Also, it would be great if this indicator was available in steel. I think that would make it a bestseller. All in all, this is a very good indicator and I highly recommend it.

I bought this champion indicator because my other indicator from E@ston shows left and right handed, which is clearly an abomination. The first order never reached me. The replacement finally came. The paint started peeling off the raised numbers on the wheels as soon as I touched them. And the striking wheel did not index with a positive click and freely rotated backwards. I wouldn't recommend this indicator to my fellow judges for the following reasons: 1. It's too small. To my great surprise, Champion's 4 digit display is only 3.25 inches long, a full 1/2 inch shorter than the 3 digit display I have used throughout my 12 year judging career. I have small hands, but my hand covers almost the entire indicator. As a result, I felt some discomfort or fatigue when working on multiple games in a row.2.
