Cheap but Expensive

This flimsy thing costs $18. Save your money and buy something else like the dual channel lock set I just bought for $13. This crescent doesn't have as much panache either - that was probably my fault as I bought it (6" version) with the Revain app where it's difficult to see all the specs. The "double-sided" option makes it limp/wobbly. Just very disappointing.

Pros
  • Adjustable Wrench
Cons
  • High Price

Really good easy to read markings. On the fridge in the garage. Not very rust resistant alloy. The humidity of Florida affected the inscriptions. Still beautiful and useful adjustable. The brake lines have been replaced and they hold true without the nut play that many of my old ones had.

Pros
  • Wrench
Cons
  • Slightly dented

With all the EU labor rules it's hard to see why it would be cheaper for Channelock to import wrenches from Spain than to produce them here, but it is. Overall it's a well made tool, although certainly not as good as my old 50-75 year old handyman wrenches. The machined surfaces aren't as smooth (although they're much better than cheap Chinese instruments), the casting…
